Porta Christi is a proposed project currently in the planning and feasibility stages. The Medieval Village of Wyoming Foundation intends to use charitable contributions in furtherance of its charitable purposes, which may include feasibility studies, professional services, planning, design, engineering, legal and regulatory review, organizational expenses, public education, fundraising, land evaluation, and other activities related to the development and advancement of the Porta Christi vision.
A contribution does not guarantee that Porta Christi will receive governmental approval, acquire a particular property, proceed to construction, or be completed as currently envisioned.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing by the Foundation, charitable contributions are non-refundable. Contributions may be expended during the planning and feasibility stages and therefore may not remain available for return if the project is delayed, substantially modified, relocated, or determined not to be feasible in its currently proposed form.
If Porta Christi does not proceed beyond its feasibility stage, remaining unrestricted charitable funds will be administered by the Foundation in accordance with applicable law, the Foundation's governing documents, and its charitable purposes.
Donors should contribute only with the understanding that they are supporting the Foundation's charitable mission and the effort to investigate, develop, and advance the Porta Christi vision, and not purchasing an interest in the project or receiving a guarantee that the proposed village will ultimately be constructed.
Nothing in this notice is intended to waive any rights that cannot legally be waived or to alter any restrictions applicable to a particular charitable gift.
Your gift advances a charitable mission to imagine, investigate, and build — it is not a purchase, a promise of construction, or a guarantee of return.

Porta Christi is currently a proposed project and has not yet received the governmental, land-use, zoning, regulatory, financial, or other approvals that may be necessary for development or construction.
The purpose of the Phase Zero Fundraising Campaign, with a goal of $100,000, is specifically to investigate the feasibility of the Porta Christi vision.
Phase Zero funds may be used for expenses including, but not limited to, land and site investigations, planning and zoning research, feasibility studies, legal and professional services, architectural and conceptual planning, engineering consultation, environmental and infrastructure investigation, organizational and administrative expenses, fundraising expenses, and other reasonable costs associated with determining whether and how the project can proceed.
Important Risk Disclosure
There is no guarantee that Porta Christi will proceed beyond Phase Zero.
The feasibility process may determine that the project, its proposed location, its current design, or elements of the concept are impractical, financially unfeasible, unable to obtain necessary governmental approvals, or otherwise unable to proceed as presently envisioned.
Donors should therefore understand that some or all of the $100,000 raised during Phase Zero may be spent investigating the project's feasibility even if the ultimate conclusion is that Porta Christi should not proceed.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing by the Foundation, charitable contributions are non-refundable. Because Phase Zero contributions may be spent in carrying out the feasibility investigation, funds may no longer be available to return to donors if the project does not proceed.
A contribution to Phase Zero does not represent the purchase of property, an ownership interest, an investment, a security, or a promise of financial return, nor does it guarantee that Porta Christi will receive approval, acquire land, begin construction, or ultimately be completed.
If funds remain following completion or termination of Phase Zero, those funds will be administered by The Medieval Village of Wyoming Foundation in accordance with applicable law, its governing documents, any applicable donor restrictions, and the Foundation's charitable purposes.
By contributing, you acknowledge that your donation supports the good-faith investigation and development of the Porta Christi concept and that the investigation itself may conclude that the project should not proceed.
